We have a "3D Printer" at work that is very handy for prototypes, gives us a glimpse of what the future has to offer in terms of crafts, or even products/innovation where people will make many things,ie appliance repair parts, or whatever from a file in their home.

Awesome link. I have a friend (whom I've lost touch with, unfortunatly) who worked for Dana in the early 1990's. He would frequently rapid prototype various items for friends. His used some sort of a cellulose paper fiber with a binding 'glue'.


The ABS process is neat and very inexpensive.
