other box's?

hay guys i was just woundering if there are any other box's that could be used?
im think soming out of a commondoor or a ford has anyone tryed this as im planning to drive my car like i stole it sometimes and seeing tho there and 10000's of holdens and fords at the wreckers and seeing tho many came out v8 so the parts would be cheaper then the supra box's

cause at the moment it looks like its going to cost more for the supra box and kit then how much i can get the half cut for

any ideas?

Any rear drive box can be adapted to any engine.

You just need a reason to do it and want to do it enough.

I have a Leyland LT77 manual behind my 1UZ at the moment. Currently I'm working on changing to an old Torqueflite 3 speed (you find then in Valiants in Aus) as they can take an easy 1,000hp, if built, and parts to buid a tough one are readilly available on the net and cheap.

All you need to do is fabricate an adaptor between the transmission and the engine. You can also look at using the auto bell of the 1UZ and adapt it to the trans of choice.

Sometimes you need to sit and stare at the engine and trans for the light to turn on to the easy way (or smart) way of doing it.
