Anyone here have this supercharger on their 1UZ? If so what pulley sizes and boosts are you getting with it?

And what size injectors are you running?

I have an Opcon superchargers to go onto my 1UZ. I am going to use 440cc injectors and an Adaptronic ECU. I am using one of Richwood's larger diameter lower pulley, but havn't worked out boost (thinking about 8 - 10 PSI)or what size supercharger pulley to use. Before I install it I am going to install a air to water intercooler into the manifold.
As it is not on the motor probably didn't answer your question.

Warren

Cheers Warren, looks like you, Zuffen & myself are all using this charger (is yours the 422 model, or the 420?), but none of us have it running just yet. Are you aware of anyone else using it? It would be interesting to compare installation ideas with others.

Mine will be on the motor, hopefully yet this month or next, and we'll be dynoing again soon. I've had the charger and pulleys sitting here for quite awhile, but only started checking them the other day, and realised I didn't have the right pulley for the charger, so I've ordered up a couple of new ones from Andrew.

I have an 8 rib, stock size drive pulley, and will probably start off with a 91mm SC pulley. I'd like to start with a larger SC pulley initially, but apparently can't due to hood clearance issues.

I'll start with a set of Mazda RX-7 460cc injectors, but may have to bump up to the 550's, which I understand, Rod is planning to use.

No intercooler on mine, but will do M/W injection, pre supercharger.

My engine is 10:1 compression, so I may have to look into a small wastegate setup, or another means of bleeding excess boost from the manifold.

Andrew supplied the whole shooting match on mine.

Certainly can't complain about the quality and I think it was reasnably priced.

Hopefully mine will be assembled around year end.

I'm using Snow Performance programmable W/I with Mazda 550cc injectors (curtesy of David/Lex)

Engine management is interesting.

I have a Wolf V3 Pro4 and had an Adaptronic but I sold it to someone who missed out on the Group Buy we had.

At this stage I'm leaning heavilly toward Autronic, mainly because KDog endorses it and He knows more about the subject than I could ever hope to learn. I can always put the Wolf on Ebay!

I'm running a FAST performance 90mm throttle body, again, on Andrew's advice.

I haven't settled on what I will use for fuel pump/s yet.

I have two sets of headers for it. One 1 1/2" and another 1 3/4" The smaller one fits well and the big one will be a very tight fit between the chassis rails but would be worth the effort as it will shft a lot more gas. My engine builder and I have discussed exhausts and feel a 4 into 1 with 3" collectors is the way to go.

Both sets of headers are Tex's and the quality isn't too inspiring. One day I'll slice one up and post some photos. They're not quite as restrictive as the original Crown headers but wouldn't bee too much better.

In some ways I don't care I just want it to go hard and hold together.

We did some dyno simulation with my engine specs and an Eaton M112 with w/a intercooling and got 610FWHP and 550lbft of torque.

Given the Opcons cooler running and the use of w/i I would hope for around 625fwhp.

The proof will be in the dyno chart.

Ignore my previous post, computer clitche saved it and I couldn't edit it.:pat:

I am using a 420 on an unopened crown motor. If I can get around 300 - 320 rwhp I will be happy. As my car only weighs around 1100kgs that much hp will do.
Andrew has supplied all my gear with David/Lextreme suppling the injectors. I agree with Zuffen that Andrew does sell a quality product at a reasonsonable price. I am going to use an 8 rib belt so I am still looking for an 8 rib pulley for my altenator.
As my motor does not use the power steering pump or air con and the alternator moved to the air con compressor position there needs a bit fiddling around with tensiners and belt routes as well. I was going to a LS1 throttle body, but now I am leaning towards using the standard 1UZ one.

As my car was only registerd a month ago I am still finishing off some loose ends which means I won't be installing the supercharger until early next year.

Guys,

What is the liter/cubic inch does this positive displacement (422) give? I think the M112 is 112 cubic inch if I remember correctly. Twin screw is 10 times better them root and I am just so jealous.

David, the 422 is a 2.2 litre (134 in3) charger, and it's pretty much the same beast as Kenne Bell's 2.2 litre Blowzilla charger (now discontinued).

The 422 is a 2.2L unit, whereas the M112 is a 1.84L. I spoke to 928Specialist, a company that makes the supercharger kit for the Porsche 928, and they use the 1.7 and 2.0 for their kits. The 1.7L kit generates 456WHP at 6.9psi on the 928 5.0L V8 engines.
