We have become so used to huge numbers being tossed about such as million, billion, trillion. What is the difference???

Let's look at the money in simple dollars and cents starting with a grand.

$1,000.00
$10,000.00
$100,000.00
$1,000,000.00
$10,000,000.00
$100,000,000.00
$1,000,000,000.00
$10,000,000,000.00
$100,000,000,000.00
$1,000,000,000,000.00 one trillion dollars

Lay a $100 dollar bill on the ground and another and another until it is 10,000 bills tall... you now have one million dollars and at 233 bills to the inch that stack is 43 inches tall or just over 3.5 feet.

Keep stacking. A billion is one thousand million. That stack of bills is 3,583 feet tall which is almost 2/3rds of a mile.

Keep stacking. A TRILLION is one thousand BILLION.
That stack of bills is 3,583,333 feet tall which is almost SIX HUNDRED AND SEVENTY NINE MILES... TALL!!! 679 miles!!!

Keep this all in mind the next time a politician throws these HIGHLY UNEQUAL numbers around like they are not castastrophic examples of government theft.

That is amazing to say the least, but I think its off by quite a bit. I dont see it taking 233 bills to equal an inch. A $50 in in 1's wrapper is almost 1/2" so that would mean 100 bills would be almost 1"...

John, are you sure that its not 133 bills to an inch instead of 233??

ok, disregard my last post. I didnt take into accout that a wrapper is never really compressed as tight as it should be to give true thickness...

see that a US bill is said to be .0043" thick. that would be 232.55 bills to 1" close enought to 233...

Damn, that is amazing.....

and that how much money the IMF has "confiscated" through asset writedowns, inflation etc from western citizens in 12 months.

Yes, and apparently there is 490 bills to the pound.

So...

One Trillion in $1 dollar bills = 17,039,114 pounds
SEVENTEEN MILLION POUNDS !!!

That my friends is 8,519.5 TONS

Another mental image would be TWENTY 747s at maximum loaded weight

Over FOURTY empty 747 airplanes.

Anyone stood next to a 747 lately??? big BIG airplane
