Oil Temperature

Anyone know what is the medium oil temperature during a moderately boost car? I got some heavy duty industry oil return line. I wonder if they can with stand the heat. They are high temp rated.

Without aux. oil cooling, 200-300*f. 250*f+ is very easy if you're pushing the car, or at a track.

You do not want your oil temp going over 250F. Although synthetic can take it for longer than dino oil, all oil starts breaking down at those levels.

The temperatures you need to be careful of is not the temp of the oil, but of the heat from the turbo housing itself. Since the exhaust can get to the point of glowing, the most extreme temperature will come to the oil return line as radiant heat...
