No power to start car

I am new to this site and an hoping you guys can help. I have a 94 sc400 that gets no power to start the car. The battery is charged and I have cleaned the post and changed the terminals. When I open the door, there is no indicator light that lets me know the door is open. When I turn the key, I get nothing. When I hook it up to another battery to jump the car, the dash indicators light up, but it just clicks rapidly when I try to start it up. What might this be?

Sounds like your battery is no good,It may hold charge but have dead cells try sitting another battery in.

Totally aggree, If your battery has a dead cel or even empty, it will rob everything from your slave, at a put connect your slave up direct and see what happens
