Nitrous on a 1UZ-FE?

Hi,

I have no experience with Nitrous and am wondering if it would suit my 1990 Celsior. Is anyone running Nitrous on a 1UZ and if so what sort of HP shot can a standard 1UZ and drivetrain handle?

With nitrous, is really depends on how healthy your motor is. Im sure the tranny could take 150+ shot but not sure if an old tired motor could. I would stick to a small dry shot for starters. I would not use a wet shot with gasoline because the risk is not worth it. If you want to go with a big shot go with a direct port system. If you don’t want to do that you can look into using propane with a wet system so you don’t have to worry about puddling and blowing a hole in your hood. All in all, with a good motor you should be ok. Dont fear nitrous, it is your friend.........
