new Lexus V8 in IS-F?

Is this a new member of the family? 400hp, 350tq. 5.0L V8. Mated to a 8 speed direct "sport-shift" tranny. Yipes.

more HP, less torque, more displacement. I don't think those are the official numbers. the 4.6 already makes 370+ lbs/ft of torque and 380HP...

Sorry, but IMO that thing looks like a riced out GS with an el-cheapo fiberglass body kit stuck on it.

Lexus should give their powertrain engineers some nice raises for the mechanical specs on this car, but they really need to sack their whole coachwork team and hire an Italian studio. Somewhere around 1999 or 2000 they seem to have lost their touch for designing coachwork. These days, even Detroit are producing more pleasing body styles than Toyota.

I think I saw this protype lexus at the LA auto show and remember it being very nice in and out...I didn't look it over too much and was more interest in the 600h and other new lexus's.. My attention was also drawn to the Lexus showroom girl on display......:Eyecrazy:

Anyway, that should be one peppy little lexus...
