Most gearheads are totally unconscious about such things, so here's your formal notice that tomorrow is Mother's Day for the USA crowd.
Do yourself a favor and get both your mom AND your wife, if you're lucky enough to have both, something nice; they'll tolerate your automotive obsession much better....
Those of us who have been married awhile and/or several times realise that every holiday in the book, with the possible exception of Father's Day, has been secretly created for the wives' benefit, and the sooner you accept that, the better off you'll be.
Kroger's, Randall's and Albertson's still have flower arrangements EARLY on Sunday morning, but I'm talking 5:30 to 6AM now. Don't walk in at 9 AM and expect to get any sympathy from them for being a complete tosser.....
p.s. Serving the lady breakfast in bed is probably the ultimate brownie point getter. Shoot, even the worst cooks here can probably make toast and jelly. Been wondering how to break the news to her about how much that new turbocharger is going to cost? Hey, she'll probably suggest you buy two of them after you've served her breakfast in bed, along with giving her a bouquet of fresh flowers.
