I'm still looking at a cost effective way to ditch my MAF and was looking at the MAFT Pro site as I know ksc uses it. Anyways I found this, it sounds the goods as it looks to have a simple self tune ability so long as you feed it a wideband o2 signal.

I was thinking of getting an Innovate Wideband kit anyways.....

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]This new version of the MAF Translator is a dramatic new upgrade from the regular unit. Borrowing technology from the Translator Pro, the Gen 2 now has the ability to adjust fuel + or - 60% in 1/2% steps across 14 RPM bands in 3 different load areas!

We have also added our "wideband tracking" technology to this unit. You can connect any populal wideband that has a 0-5 volt output on the controller and then you can set the desired A/F ratio across the RPM band at WOT. The Gen 2 will then track A/F and automatically adjust the fuel to keep the desired ratio. If the car leans out, the Gen 2 will add fuel and if the car runs rich it will remove fuel.

Thoughts?

Or is it only the Pro that allows you to change to MAP?

i never trust those maf replacement units

by the time u waste yr money on them you might aswell buy a full aftermarket ecu

then tune the thing properly

the innovate wideband is arounf 500 to 700 i think so thats nearly price of a
microtech

another thing is i know with tuning cars day in day out u prob replace yr wideaband sensor every few years cause they start reading slow
so not usre if u have to do this with an everyday road car

Mainly looking into it because they're mostly user friendly with the tuning and ksc9***(?) off this board has a 12 sec SC with one fitted and a fuel pressure reg...

As for the Innovate, is this a good price?

i would get the dearer gauge
pretty sur ethere is one with a digital readout too
much easier to read which makes for more accurate readings
compared to a needle
i bought an innovate lm1 with the data logging unit 3 years ago
only have used it once hehe
to much bloody hassle to set it up just for checking mixtures on cars
but says each time u use it u have to warm sensor up before starting engine

anyway i would make sure u find out how long they last when used on a car
every single day
