Ls400?

Was thinking of recommending a LS400 (98-00) to my mom and dad who are thinking of selling a Honda minivan and get another car. They are older, but would like a comfy car again since they sold their Deville and got a Camry (boy was that a shock for a change!).

So after having a GS400 now for a few months was thinking a LS400 would be a nice ride for them.

Any LS400 owners out there give me some advice? Good? Bad? Ugly?

Things to watch out for? Options to have? To no care about? They live in Florida. They likely will want the HID lights for sure, they need the brighter headlights.

The LS400 is a perfect choice IMHO.
The only problems Ive had out of mine is the EGR was cracked (made a delete kit for it)
and the catalytic converter gaskets needed to be replaced..
264xxx miles and still running strong!

ls400's and the sc400's remind me of cadillacs from the 90's on the inside. So they'll probably love it.

Showed my wife one (94-97 is my guess) a couple days ago, she said it is ugly and she won't be seen in it.... She wants a newer Charger.

The LS400 is a perfect choice IMHO.

Put a nice body kit, rims and coilover on it and your wife won't bother on the Charger anymore.

How close is the pricing of an 01 LS 430? It's a completely different car, and unlike the SC's the LS 430 actually improved on the LS 400.
