Locking air suspension ?

Can someone please explain how to lock the air suspension on a 1990 celsior before putting the car on a hoist. I have been told this must be done to protect the compressor and airbags etc. Any comments or tech info would be appreciated. I am also looking for an owners manual (english)

There is a switch in the truck to de-activate the air system. Its on your left side of the trunck near the emergency kit.
