Stevechumo and were playing around and took out the gold plated rear emblems and we spray a very light coat of glossy back paint. However, before we did that, we cleaned with a carb cleaner. As you can see most of the gold plate emblems are badly faded and is expected for the year. Here are the before and after pictures:

Black will work as long as they don't chip away in the next rain storm...

Spray paint only lasts so long against the outside elements...

I have painted my emblems. So long as you use a clear coat to protect the paint job, it will hold through thick and thin.

I think black emblems on a black car is a great look.

That's what I thought. I think these black emblems will stand out on white SC. How about shiny blue on black SC? Blue...a new trend?

Clear coat finishes make may the embems in black look very glossy... I have used the clear coat in spray can and it just added to that glossy finish... Yes but it does make the paint last..

If your going for the flat black look a clear coat finish may not work...
