anyone ever heard of the Y2K Jetbike? equiped with a Allison/Rolls Royce 250 series turbojet engine that puts out 320 HP(at the shaft) @ 52,000 RPM, and 425 ft/lbs @ 2,000 RPM. the bike so far as i know, has a recorded top speed of 230 MPH.
wouldnt that engine be great in a car? doesnt need a transmission, only an axle and diff, and the power delivery is supposedly so smooth that you can feel the engine, only hear it. which isnt suprising, givin how a turbojet works. and even better, its a small engine. its only a 150 pound engine.
