Just bought another motor for the 37 and just wanderin what i've got.
I was told it was Soarer but from what i have read on here i think it might be an ambulance motor. It is rear sump but instead of plastic covers on the front it has a large cast alloy plate with the alternator mounted at the top through the plate and a huge pwr steering pump mounted low. The pump has the usual steering fittings but also has 2 larger pipes and a couple of vacuum hoses coming off it. A mate suggested that it might be like the chev setup and the pwr steer pump also acts as a brake booster instead of vacuum. The pump has a seperate belt and adjuster to the rest. Crank pulley has 2 different belt drives on it. Were the ambo specs any different to the others? Interested in what anybody else knows as i am fairly new to these engines
