How dirty is too dirty?
Picked up what I was told was a 92 LS400 complete with wiring ecu trans maf. Started tearing it down to clean it up and took dirty pieces off one by one. Got down into lower intake and it was still really dirty. Here are pictures of head still on the motor. As you can see its pretty dirty. at least couple mm thick of dirt and soot inside the head. I vacuumed and wire brushed, dremel'd and carb clearner them as best as I could. Turning the motor over as I went only to clean when valves were closed.
Do you think I should try and run this? Its going to go into a 84 Toyota pickup in a wheeler truck.
