Had a very frustrating weekend. I'm putting a 1UZ/M90 run by a Link V5 into my WB Holden. I got to where I could start the engine during the week. Started it up ok, ran it for a few minutes, lots of smoke (i suspect it was running too rich). I subsequently started it a few more times without problems.
Do you think it would start for me over the weekend?
Fuel side seems to be OK (plugs were wet after checking them) and I have come to the conclusion its any ignition problem. When I crank it, the engine only fires on No1 cylinder which confuses the hell out of me, because I would have thought if I had a problem with the wiring or ignitors I wouldn't get spark anywhere. I pulled a plug out of No 6 cylinder and connected it to a jumper cable and I had spark at the cylinder too. It looks like the CAS is working and the wiring to the ignitors looks OK.
Any suggestion on where to go from here? Am I looking in the wrong place? Could a fuel issue be the cause?
Appreciate any help.
