Fuel rail connections

Can somebody please tell me which is the fuel inlet and outlet to the fuel rails on my 1uzfe.

Left(passenger side) is inlet, right (drivers side) is fuel return

Can you take a photo from the top please?

It looks like someone has turned your drivers side fuel rail around, becuase the fuel pressure regulator is supposed to be at the front.
 
Closer pics of the fuel connections, right side has vacum line going to it as well.
Left side just has fuel connection only.
Motor is from a LS 400 i think.
 
In those latest pics, the one on the left is showing the pulsation dampner, and in the right pic that's the fuel pressure regulator.

So the left pic is showing the fuel supply to the rail, and the right pic is showing the return.
 
Those fuel rails are completely different to anything I have seen. And I must say that I have seen a lot of 1UZ's

Ahh, I see now.
Its a gen2 1UZ (1995-97)

So you have the higher compression (10.4:1), no Cold Start Injector, cast alloy fuel rails, and a few other small things that escape me right now.

I've never looked at them up close though, but cribbj is correct.
 
More power than the early ones, slightly better cams, but apparently shares the weaker rods that the VVTi ones have.

No problem with those rods unless you plan on stuffing >10psi or doing a large NA build.

Considering i have just put 2 GT28r turbos on it i would say i better be careful how much boost i run.
 
For sure.

But worst case you blow the motor, spend $800 getting another one, and you're back on the road the next weekend.
