fuel gauge problem

this problem happened in my previous 1993 LS also. the fuel gauge does not read the fuel tank level correctly, but after about driving the car for a half hour it finaly makes it to correct spot. i cannot think of the reason for this. the only relation i can come up with between my 1994 and 1993 problem is that i had a system in the trunk in both cars. would the vibration cause the problem after a prolonged period?

This is a mechanical problem with the needle. One way to solve this is to get a new instructment panel and change things over. I found that out when i change my panel and play around with the needles. Mechanical movement cause that.....
