Fords 32v 5.0L 400hp mustang motor?

Well, Ford is coming out with a 400hp 5.0L 32v V8 motor to go into their new 2010 Mustangs. Gees, I wonder where they came up with this idea? Any thoughts on this one?

I wonder if this is a stroke and bore the old modular 4.6L. The 4.6L DOHC 32V modular engine produced in 1996 and ran until this year.

Being Ford guy!! I think its the V6 thats going to be turbo and the V8 as said has bigger bore taking it to 5.0..
The same V6tt that may replace the 4.0 turbo in Australia..
Big shoes to fill..

Why would they reinvent the wheel with the 6? Emissions or something?

I forgot what year the 4.6 came out, was it like 1996? Anyway it only had 215hp in it's first version. took them long enough to pull some numbers out of one lol

Emissions, direct injection, V6 can be in any thing, fwd etc..
Some issus with engine being close to hood/ bonnet with pedestrian damage..
There are various 4.6's the first where 2 valve.. Only the Cobra has the alloy block, 32 valve head.. We got the cast 5.6 in Aussie with 32v head with 260/ 290 kw..
