My project is twin turbos with 1UZ automatic (boost 8lbs). I plan to use turbos from Nissan RB25DETT engine. My question is how big I should do for exhaust pipe from turbo to rear mufler. Any suggestion?

Thank you

You can run anywhere from 2" of inner diameter and up. With turbo system, larger pipes will always be better if you can afford the noise. You'll need the exhaust gas to get out as fast as possible to avoid backpressure and help spooling the turbo. I'm running a dual 2.25" for my single turbo at a current 6 psi and plan to run 12 psi. I also use hi-flow catalytic converters. A single 3" can support up to 600 hp and that'll roughly equal to a dual 2". The stock pipe only has the inner diameter of 1.75". Good luck!

im thinking he ment rb25det ie off two diffrent single turbo motors.

its not really a good idea to go directly to a larger size then the turbo outlet, those outlets are 2" i believe so a 2" (or whatever the outlet accually is) with a seprate tube for the wastegate outlet. that can possably taper back in with the exhaust.

taper that 2" out to 2.5 or even 3, this can be done in one or even two tapers, if you want to refeed the wg back in do it just after the first taper. the taper should be very close to the turbo to take advantage of the theroy that a bigger is better on a turbo motor.

you do not want any steps at all in any fluid flowing systems exhaust gas is a fluid.

i dont believe an x pipe would do any good at all on a turbo motor.
