I want to install a Lexus V8 into my Valiant Charger, i want to do this because im after EFI and an overdrive box,

I figure it would be Cheaper and the end result better if i,
Modified the Charger to suit the Lexus V8 (probably have to get the engineer to do this) even if it costs $2500,
Purchase a front cut $3000approx (thats from Adelaide ***)
Then spend a $1000max on connecting up fuel systems, wiring harness etc...etc...etc,

This would be a cheaper option then,
Rebuilding a Hemi6, installing a DIY EFI and then wacking a supra 5spd behind it,

The only problem i have is the ECU,
If i can use the factory Toyota ECU and not have to change it for an aftermarket Job, then pay for Dyno time to get it right i would go with the Lexus,
But i did have to go an aftermarket ECU i would just stick to EFI-ing the Hemi6,

Can anyone tell me if i will encounter any problems if i use the factory ECU of the Lexus V8, keeping in mind im planning on keeping the Lexus V8 stock???

Stick with the standard ECU and auto box and the swap is fairly easy and trouble free.

I suggest you shop hard for your half cut.

You also need to decide if you need an SC400 or Crown half cut.

Do some research on this Site into sump locations and then try to sort out which engine you need. Crowns tend to be cheaper than SC400's so if you cn use one do it.

You will find Autosparks on line here who can and will assist and may even contract to do the wiring for you.

Im not to worried about the wiring, should be able to use the harness off the half-cut and fabricate what is necessary,

Cool, so if i keep the motor stock using the factory ECU in my conversion project should not present me with any dramas,
Thus,
Avoiding any aftermarket computers and expensive Dyno Time,
