When I was wiring up my motor last year I broke one of the clips on the plug on the coil (low tension side), so its just been sitting on there (top coil).
Anyway, in over 6 months of driving, its only a couple of times dropped the coil, and that was only for about 2 secs before its come back on.
Now yesterday, it happened twice in the morning, and twice in the evening.
4th time it happened, it didn't come back on.
Being in office clothes, and with no tools, I couldn't really repair it on the side of the road, so I thought f*ck it, I'll just drive it home on 4cyls (about 2km).
I got home, looked under the car, and both cats are glowing red. hehehe, whoops.
Anyway, I fixed the car and its all good.
But I don't recommend driving like this more than a couple of mins.
On a side note, if this happens again, could I unplug the coil, and the 4 corresponding injectors? Would that be ok?
