Does anyone know if a 95 model radius/control arm will fit in a 90 model ??
I can't seem to find a replacement arm under $300.00 but there are these awesome alloy 95 model units for $169.00....HELP....HELP...AAAARRRRRRR....going under for the third time !!
 
contact Alex in one of the classified section. I think his SN is autocorp something like that. He has a parting out LS. I dont think the 95LS would work.
 
Outrage !!!!!!

Decided to ring Lexus Australia on friday to just actually see what they charge for the upper control arm.......wait for it......$1212.75 !!
Thats right , twelve hundred and twelve dollars and 75 cents for one side !!
Man you know where they can put that !!
A long walk off a short pier !!
The thing is Australian Lexus owners put up with it !!
So I now need to know the cheapest place to get 90 model upper control arms .
Please !!

have you tried PMing Autocorp?

alternatively - hunt around for people parting out front cuts - you'll prob find an importer can sell you one at a good price.

however, is the going rate is $1200 for a new one, then wreckers will be well aware of how "good" a deal a control arm is at $300.
 
I've got a 1994 celsior cut i'll be parting out very soon.. any idea if the '94 arm will fit?

All going dirt cheep :-)
 
The arms fit til the Nov 94 update , it's easy to tell as they got 4 piston calipers and bigger [ 305 mm ] disc's as well as dual climate control in the cabin .
I'm very interested in both upper arms , hit me with a price please as long as the ball joints are really tight .
I must say it's a whole lot of money to replace the ball joint !!
Seeing as the bushes are quite cheap , I think I'll investigate machining the end and fitting a ball joint offa something else , long term that's a far better option .

I'll check it out what the cut has got when I head down to the workshop next...

I know the struts were not in the cut, so i'm not sure what they ripped out..

If it's the later UCF20 and has the 4 piston calipers I'll buy them off you as well as the dust sheilds .

The problem is that I really don't want to put a 15 odd year old balljoint back in , I've already got one of those on the vehicle !!
As I'm replacing all the other stuff I really want a new upper balljoint to go with the bushes , mine is ok but I want new .
I really will find a replacement balljoint from something else , machine out the slot in the arm , press the balljoint in from the bottom with a circlip on top , about $100.00 for the machining of both and about $60.00 each for the balljoints .
As I have spare arms this is not an issue and is the correct way to do the job , it is how it should have been done in the first place .
