Hey all,
Have a code 25 (lean) code and I am hoping for input.
Although I am a Toyota tech for about 6 years now, I have very limited experience with the 1uz. Most of my knowledge of the engine comes from the last 3 months of owning my car and poking around this forum.
Love my car by the way.
Anyway, using a Toyota scan tool, I looked at my front O2 wave forms. I believe the sensors are original and very lazy and will probably replace them regardless. Also, o2's are one of the first suspect areas listed by the RM.
At idle they have a normal waveform but definitely on the lean side (0 volts to about .5 a volt).
When I rev and hold to about 2000 rpm, still a mostly normal wave form and a little higher on the scale (about .1 volt to .6 volt).
When I snap the throttle they spike rich and then flat line to 0 volts for 20-30 seconds.
I do not believe that the car could possibly be running that lean, and still be idling smoothly.
I know there are quite a few things that can make an engine run lean (blocked injectors, vacuum leaks, bad MAF, IAC problems, possible EGR problems, ect, ect..), just wondering if anyone had any ideas or if there are any known common problems.
Thanks.
BTW, if anyone needs Lexus or Toyota repair manual, ewd, or any other info I have access to, let me know and I will help as mush as possible.
