Closed Loop Oil System

You can get these kits from CAPA (www.capa.com.au). Basically the oil system for the supercharger(although I was told by CAPA that it could be used on a turbo) is seperate from the engine, CAPA sell the kit for around $1000(aud), but I was thinkin of using an engine driven or electric oil pump with a oil tank and oil cooler etc. Would it be worth it?

I presume you are refering to scroll superchargers and turbos where the oil supply is delivered and returned from/to the engine.

If you are worried about "dirty" engine oil in your blower/turbo why not put a filter in the oil supply line. This will cost heaps less, take up less room, be less complicated and be more reliable.

Sometimes peolpe like CAPA do things the hard way then charge you a small fortune to buy it.

Is this the sort of setup with a seperate sump, scavenger setup for where the turbo is blow the sump level and will fill with oil if it doesnt have a seperate system?
