BMW M6

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
It is probably the fastest depreciating vehicle on the Australian Market.

Anyone who buys an M6 will lose at least 25% of its value in the first 12 months.

At M6 prices in Australia that's well over 1 years salary for the average Aussie worker!

Here in Oz its taxed etc so thats where the depreciation is also...
The true value is less than retail..
Besides with most these cars that are leased.. WHO wants a second hand prestige car!!!.. Sheeesh someone may have pharted in the seat????

XR8tt- Dang you post more then me, Congrats..... I thought I was the only annouying poster on this forum that wears out his keyboard.....

Just kidding, post away have fun.....

The BMW M6 is a fine expensive ride... I was not able to pull away from that car when I raced it in my SC400 half a year ago and I was running under the full juice too...Needless to say they are very quick and I was impressed.. Faster then the M3's for sure....

I love that car...If I had not started my project and kept my SC400 stock, I would have probably bought this car...

Still, I am not disappointed that I did start my project...It will be a "One of a Kind" for sure. I also want to take that car on for a run...
He will be pissed off that I beat him...And that will be worth it:banana: :smashfreakB:

Call me biased but I would never own a BMW.

Depreciate too fast, crappy electronics and engines that wear.

No thnks there are a few brands well ahead of BMW in my life.

By the way I can afford that car, so it isn't sour grapes.

Yea I know but what would I do with the CLK ????

You know I was driving around yesterday on the freeway looking and thinking of all the newer cars...What I came up with is the Vette's and Ford GT500's will probably start to rattle and fall apart after 60,000 miles, Merc AMG's end up in the shop regularly, BMW M's like Zuffen said the electronics and motor reliability is suspect at times, Ferrari's burn out fast, Porcshes end up in the shop regularly too, etc...etc.... If you proceed to hammer these cars regularly I would venture to think they would fail even sooner then described above....

I know my old Lexus is not a comparable car but I could honestly hammer it daily with nitrous too and I just knew it would never break down and chances were it would hold up for along time even with 100,000 miles already on the car....It did for 5 years until most recently.... With these newer cars I would not share that same confident fealing... With these newer cars, I would look for smoke after hammering it for a few weeks... So in conclusion I said to myself, Maybe the new Lexus IS-F series sportscar is a solid and reliable ride.... Why you may ask? I remember seeing that car on the dyno for the whole weekend at the LA car show, I mean it was constantly hammered and floored on the dyno machine minute after minute and still it ran and sounded perfect by the time the weekend was over.....

Fellas simply said, stick with the Lexus IS-F.. It may not look as good as the BMW M6 or be as fast but it will hold if you have a heavy foot like me... Because me thinks they are built to last........Yoda has spoken...

PS. Quick story - My buddy worked at the Porsche dealership as a mechanic a few years back and brought over a New Porsche Turbo, a $140,000USD car at the time...He said, "drive it hard and floor it as you please, this is my gift to you as it is your birthday", which it was... I never drove a turbo'd Porsche before let alone get to absolutely roast one, so I jumped on it....... My roast session lasted 20 minutes or so and by the time I was done with this little black Porsche it was smelling, burning up, and basically ready to give out if I continued... My buddy took it back to the dealership smoking and he got an ear full from the head mechanic as the car needed now alot of additional work..

It was very quick, light and handled like it was on rails...However, that little Porsche wouldn't last a week in my care... It would break down, no exotic's for me please...

XR8Tt,

I got smart and sold our CLK500 and replaced it with an SLK55.

Much more fun, heaps faster and also lots more reliable.
