Bits needed to freshen up 1uzfe

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
Im budgeting around $2500 for my computer. Hopefully will scrape in
with mates rates on the fitting. tuning will be the expensive bit. My engine has all the plugs and the loom with it. Do i just need adapters for this?

Yeah the cheaper way (take off a grand), is by doing an adapter loom. I think NZEFI has done a few of these. Still a bit of work, but cheaper than a wole new loom. What ECU have you gone for? I am using a LinkPlus G2.
 
Been recomended the new g3, he said thats all ill need for my mods etc. and said its alot better and smoother than the old model. The plugs im getting are nipon denso ones. Think it retails for around $1300ish

Oh yup, the G3 will be mint for your project. Your goal of $2500 is not going to be too far off. I have the old model in my race car... and the G3 kicks its ass for functions.

Those plugs sound nice (assuming $130) :)

Post the model number of them if you get a chance and supplier, I may get some too.
 
Oh no its not the plugs that are $1300 im talking about the g3. Think the plugs are alot cheaper lol. He was quoting me those plugs.
What kind of clutch are you going for? i was thinking a 4agze clutch for mine but, there a cheap heavy duty ones on TM

haha ok, makes sense on the ECU :) Where are you getting it from?

I have gone for a Tilton tripple plate clutch. The ones on TM are the suppliers of the one I am getting. Its A1 Turbos and they are pretty good guys.

Yeah all prices are fixed, but if you buy off the place that tune it, then maybe you will get looked after better on the tune or additional sensors etc? NZEFI have tuned a few of my cars currently and in the past, really knowledgable guys.
 
Im really happy with them. They really no there stuff and seem honest. Im sure they will look after me. Year i might go for a nice strong clutch to like u

I only got that because I am going to be putting on a couple of turbo's. Its overkill for a stock car really. I am just future proofing it :) Dont like buying parts twice.
 
Sill not sure what cambelt i should use because im not using the air con. does anyone no what belt suits? cheers. surley it would be shorter than the factory cambelt?

heres my quote on parts.....


Cam Belt $40
Silicon Tensioner $35
Tensioner Bearing $35
Idler Bearing $32
Plugs $15 each x8 (good plugs)
Oil Filter $30
Water Pump $90
Clutch Cover $180 (mr2 turbo clutch)
Clutch Disc $100 (mr2 turbo)

All the prices are plus GST.


Fan belt will be last as ill have to find on to suit.
What you guys think?
 
Good prices for all original toyota parts...You may want to check Ebay for even cheaper prices...I have gotten a few great deals on Lexus goodies...
