best diff behind uz for hiace

hey guys...

so my conversion is complete with shiney new cert plate and wof sticker i just wondered what the best diff ratio is to run behind the 4spd auto is because when im on the highway it feels like i need another gear (like its in 3rd not od) from what i can work out i have a 4.1:1 open diff atm... so whats behind like a soarer or celsior etc.... thanks in advance

I prefer a 3.9 or a 3.7. well done on getting the cert. Cheers

Have a look at the body tag or build plate for the Axle code it will be a number like G292 for 4.1 open wheel. post that up and I can tell you what you've got

anyone no wher i cn get a 3.7 or 3.9 ratio frm for hiace?

3.9 come in 1kz te hiace and some of the autos and some of the superlows. 3.7 also come out of some of the auto hiace and my LSD came out of a Surf. Personally I would look for one in my workshop cage beside the 130 surf front end and the W55 gearbox. It's most likely going into the hiace we are fitting an LS1 into at the moment which would give us a 3.9 spare. Few weeks away yet though. Cheers

mine was a 1kz but from what i can work out on the tag its a 4.1.... i still havent changed it yet cos i want to put a tacho on it to see what its doing....

swt as yeah im after an lsd. what year surf fits straight into hiace?
