Bad Starter

Is it possible that the starter can go crazy? We are about to fire up my LS520, but when we plug the cable to the battery, the starter goes on by itself. That is right, without turning the key. Just replugging the power will cause the starter to goes on. We even unplug the trigger wire and the starter still goes on. Strange isnt it?

Sounds like the solenoid has stuck in the engaged position.

This is where you really need to thank Mr Toyota for putting the starer in such a stupid place.

I guess it's pull it apart time.

Yeah we got it... and it got shorted and kept on turning.... not sure what happen but thanks to Mr. Toyota for the V design. The newer V8 also has its own nightmares too.
