Are destroying the 1UZFE?

I feel very guilty of using the 1uzfe main caps for the 2uzfe 4 bolt conversion. I know a 1uz have to be sacrifice for the sake of the main caps. If we continue to do this, soon or later the 1uzfe there will be plenty of 1uzfe blocks laying without caps.

My engine builder and I have discussed this issue and plan to make some 4 bolt main for the 2uzfe. However, the cost for those main caps would be 2 times more than buying a complete 1uz engine.

What do you guys think?

For as many people who would go to the extreme of the 4 bolt conversion on the 2UZ and the abundance of these engines that have been manufactured, harvesting main caps for this mod won't even scratch the surface of the supply of engines out there...

Just kidding... They are discarded motors anyway...There are so many out there I don't think you should be concerned....
