So heres my delema guys. My g/f bought me a Apex'i RSM-GP for christmas. From what I was told by everyone this is a universal unit. They provide certain wiring diagrams but do not list mine. The closest is for a 1UZ-FE. So heres the thing, wiring it to the tach shouldnt be a problem, neither should the power and ground. However, one of the main reasons I wanted this unit was to get rid of the speed limiter. I have the wiring diagrams for the ECU and was wondering if anyone knowlegable in this area could tell me if what I am planning to do is correct.
My first thoughts were to go with the first connection diagram but then I found the wiring diagram thats black and white and lists SP2+ and SP2- since those are connected with vehical speed sensor I assume I need to go by diagram 3 or 4. The one thing that is confusing me is the "Meter" wire. Is that refering to the SPD pin in the first wiring diagram? If anyone can figure this out or can offer any help I would really appriciate it.
