My air con compressor has been removed and I am looking to refit it so I can run onboard air for my tools and airlines etc for my 4x4.

Does anyone know how the compressor mounts to the block, it's difficult to see the mount position and how it might work. I assume it mounts hard to the block like the other accessories.

Does anyone know what the factory belt part number is for a motor with ac/ps/alt is?

If anyone has a pic that would be appreciated.

Cheers
Matt.

One bolt goes into the block, two bolt go into the fan pulley bracket (or hydro fan pump bracket).

So no new brackets are needed, you just need 3 correctly sized bolts.

Belt number is 6PK2275 from memory.

FYI.
If you have a front sump you will need a front sumped aircon compressor.
They have a shorter rear housing to clear the dipstick tube.

Thanks Peewee.

I have a front sump motor so will need the shorter compressor. Is there any way of telling if it's a shorter compressor or not - does anyone know the length?

Cheers
Matt

This is the one you do not want.
See that little extra cylinder at the rear, the Celsior ones do not have that

Now that I am finally ready to do this, I went to check my AC compressor clutch before mounting my system and the clutch doesn't engage.

There is an additional wiring harness that goes into the side of the compressor, is this a speed sensor or something?

If so how do I fool the compressor into engaging?

I can post a pic if anyone needs more info.

Cheers
Matt.
