aftermarket antennea

:feedback:my girlfriend is the sweetest person that anyone can meet. So for Christmas she bought me an after market antennea for my 92 ls400. When i finally had the time to install it i found out quickly that i had opened up a bucket of worms that i was not familiar with. There is a lil blue box that is connected to the old unit and all kinds of pig tails everywhere. is this lil blue box needed to make this antennea work? Or better yet what is this lil blue box for? ijust wnat this thing to work so that i dont have anymore static on the radio. thanks in advance for all your help.

no i sure didnt buddy! i think im just gonna save up some cash to have the dealer install a new one for its gonna run about 375$
