Very well according to Mitch. In fact, we'll probably be running my motor on the Gen2 next time we're on the dyno.
Maybe Mitch will chime in here and give you his impressions. He was probably the earliest beta tester for it.

I tried it on a V8 and went 'back' to a Gen 1. The software like three or four months ago was really really bad!

Yeah I believe Mitch was/is running the original AEMPro software with it.
He said the new hardware was solid, however.

yup hardware looks ok, but software was really crap. that AEM tuner software
The hardware is rock solid, I have had zero issues with it on my SC, but AEMTuner is not quite up to par compared with AEMPro.
The new hardware has a faster processor, USB connect, and better VVC (Vvti), boost and auto tranny control. Most importantly, it now has 12 injector and 8 coil outputs so you can go full sequential on a V8 if you want.

I'll give it a try next project, but for the project of FastEddie (also on this forum) it took us like a full week of stress to get it running and it still was with a lot of errors. So we had to ditch the hardware. Maybe one day it will go back, but with the Gen 1 we got the car running quickly and without much issue.
