AC Compressor, which hose goes which way?

Not sure if this is the right section, not sure if it fits in any section at all?

Anyhoo.

I don't have a pic of the top of an LS400 compressor, only the Crown one.

But which one goes which way?

Rear port goes forward, front port goes backwards (on my car).
