A340E interchangable on V8's?

I have a soarer with possibly a defective A340E. It only shifts in two gears, so one solenoid is dead (it seems). Can I put a LS400 gearbox in? I don't have any soarer boxes spare.

I the plugs are different along with gearing. Otherwise it should work. Why not just change out the solenoid? Save you alot of work. Selenoids should be interchangeable with out any problem.

Soarer/LS400 stuff should be the same.

I've plugged Soarer harness into my UZS131 Crown box and everything except the rear speed sensor worked fine. But the LS400 runs the same rear sensor as the Soarer, so that should work.

dropped the oil pan on the soarer and put a LS400 solenoid in. Waiting for ATF to test it out.
