98 4 Runner W/ 2jz-gte

OK I thought a new thread would be better now that I finally made up my mind, so I can gather better information. I want to put a 2JZ-GTE (3.0L Twin Turbo) in a 98 4Runner. The 4Runner comes with a 6 cylinder although it is a V formation, the 2jz should still fit. I was wondering what modifications would have to be done to make the swap work? And also what problems I may have? Thanks ahead of time!

Its been done here in nz i think , might have been a 1jz tho cant remember. i no one of the guys from nz performance car magazine did the conversion on his

We just mounted a 1JZ-GTTE into a 1994 2WD hilux, went in quite easily - did not have to modifey the sump but I expect radiator to be recessed under the top rad support. not much room for intercooler. It looks really good in the hole. Good luck cheers

Woah that guy has some upgraded turbos and some other stuff. I just want to get the stock engine in there and working first. Then I will start modding the engine after that.

Thanks for the website. Can anyone else give me more information? What about the engine mounts? The transmission mounting/ driveshaft and axles?
