Hi There. I Know Its Not A Lexus Engine,but Has Anyone Mucked Around With One Of These Little Beauties? I Want To Adapt A 4speed Auto To It,rebuild Coming Along Slowly. It Has A Carb Manifold, Any Tips Appreciated.or Performance Mods To The Engine?cheers.

Not many people have played with these in the last 10 years at all.
The 1UZ became popular and is such a better base that the 4V/5V-E became obselete.

Your best bet would be to talk to some old hot rodders who have been in the game for 30 years.
Most likely some of them would have tinkered with them in the past.

Ive got a complete 4V sitting in my shed with auto that I brought from a wrecker many years ago for my hilux before the 1UZ became easier to get. By the time i got around to doing it i decided that a crown front cut was the way to go. If anyone needs any bits please PM me.
