Parts 335hp 1UZ for sale

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
I'm curous how does the stock motor make 335hp or around 280whp with just tube headers and cams...Impressive to say the least...

Yeah those headers are schweet! I'm totally getting anxious to build some for mine. Althought I don't have quite the room to play with. I'm not going to be able to build my headers until I make my front suspension (by hand =). Until then the manifolds will work fine.

Jibbs the cams basically control the whole output of the whole motor! You could run some crazy cams on it, make even more power but it wouldn't be driveable on the street, for most people anyways :naughty:. Headers should make a huge difference on this motor as well, especially those! I'm contemplating the position of the engine now just for weight distribution and length of the headers. The sick thing is that I could dry sump mine and lower it a little more for a lower center of gravity. But I'm not since it won't make it much faster for the money. I'm sure Adam has this on his agenda for his next engine.

I was considering going dry sump since the car is a road race car for the street, but the reality is that it costs so damn much. The new engine (LS1) was cheap considering I built it myslef but it is still close to 5k after the computer and all, the trans was 1500 so we are getting up there. A dry sump is usually around 3k, which doesn't make sense to me. How can a dry sump system cost almost as much as the entire engine. Plus I don't think it will really help me much. I mean the car will see the track but in reality it will be on the street more often then not. I did however get a trick oil pan that has 4 way baffling in it so it will work well on the road course. The other limitation is that I can't mount the thing that much lower because the transaxle is the limiting factor. If it were a Hewland unit where the outputs are higher up on the box then I woudl have to go dry sump to mount the whole unit lower but the reality is that I can't go that low anyway.

Later,
Adam

That's too much trouble! Just get that engine in there without spending your savings and drive it :burnout:. Dry sumping is for pro and race teams that have budgets and are super concious about being in the winners circle to keep their sponsors happy. Sponsors pay for those systems so that's why they are spendy =] It doesn't make sense otherwise unless your driving in circles or offroad. I don't know about driving one on the street though, at least the engine will be more dependable with the LS1. You don't want to be having any problems on the road in that baby.
