I got years of experience with popping wheelies on my bicylce... I got experience and skills too just like this clown.. Don't ever under estimate the skills of a lextreme member......

Man my posts are getting stupid and silly....

Seriously speaking, I've seen this type of drag racing before with the wheelies going on...These wheelie poppers were the turbo'd older VW bugs with the wheelie bars on the back..... Fast little buggers too....

Yes, that is the car. VERY nice engineering and definitely driving it on the edge. Not many understand just how outrageous that ride would be. I can only make an educated guess. Heck, this is faster than the Top Fuel cars were running in the 60s in fact Don Garlits was running 6.77 @ 220mph in the year the Mustang in the video was originally built 1967!!!

That's what you call serious traction....IF I bounce my front end up like those dragsters, when it comes down the car blows apart and wheels go flying...

The front suspension on those dragsters is like that of a 4X4 with serious spring action...

Driving one of those wheelie popping dragsters must be like being shot out of a rocket...




Curious, Has anyone on this forum been in a dragster like that? If so what did it feel like? I've never had that experience....
 
My brother has a full chassis capri, that does wheels up launches, if you don't back off, or back off gently, the power lets it land gently.

Tell more XR8TT..... 8.2 seconds is rediculously fast with your altered Big Block Chevy running on Methanol... Sounds like fun...

Top fuel dragsters do it in what 5 seconds or so?
