Hi guys ,
I am wondering if I invest in the Nissan RB25DET engine is better than investing in 1UZ-FE engine ??.
I am looking for 500rwhp … with less money to spend .
The cost to get that power as I read here and there for the RB25DET is ~ 1500 USD …. And may be 3000 USD for the 1UZ-FE :

look on the UK ebay under lexus parts, and there are 2 or 3 breaker with the LS400, they should have the engine still, i did phone one before i got a LS400 car and one only wanted 250.00 for the engine

Paid 350 for my low miles 93 ;ls400 motor with gearbox and all the ancillaries, (cut loom though but sorted that now)
Was in a breakers near Kidsgrove (cheshire Staffs borders) 'Allens' i think.
Know where there is on in Stoke on Trent too but has had some choice bits nabbed off it though (afm, throttle body, oh and i hacked out a big chunk of wiring loom for the pugs (i'm bad, i know)etc) Its a specialist japanese car breaker so it may be worth a phone call

We do many conversions - Mainly 1Uz but have done a couple of 1JZ - presently have a Hilux with the 1jz going into it. We also work on heaps of nissans - SR20DET, RB20DET, RB25DET and VG30DET and DETT - we ran a VG30DETT in a S13 Silvia (180SX , 200SX)
1UZ nicer for long drives , 1JZ make more power -Cheers
