1uz front seal

I have searched and found nothing. Both here and my usual spare parts dealers.

I have a 1uz out of a 1990 Crown going into a MS83 Crown.

I thought I would change the timing belt and water pump before I got the car on the road. I have tried all around town and cannot buy a crank seal. The bearing shop has told me "genuine" only.

Toyota dealer shrugged his shoulders and said, "they didn't sell them in Australia, can't help".

Can someone tell me a part number or a place to buy one. Do the Lexus models have the same seal?

I found the 3sfe seal is the same outside diameter, but it is 1mm smaller shaft size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would be 150% sure an LS400 or LX470 seal would be identical.

Try the Brisbane Lexus at Kedron. They have them and they sell for around $22. I would replace the rear seal also which the Lexus dealer has and cost $54. Tell them it is for a LS 400. I bought my seals from Bullet Sports Car at Yatala. They also sell parts for the 1UZFE motors.

I found the Bullet web site and they have the seals at $45 each.

I think I wil try Lexus tommorrow.

Landcruiser V8 would be your best option as (non-lexus) Toyota dealership might not touch Lexus bits. Should be a common part.

The prices on that page are amazingly cheap.

If rebuilding or working on your engine it would be worth buying in the parts from here and supporting the Site as well.

It takes about 5 days for the parts to get to Australia and so far I haven't paid any import duty and I've brought in quite alot of stuff.

I strongly recommend shopping at Lextreme.

Went back the a local supplier today and we looked up LS400 in the book and he had one in stock.

If I need any further parts I will contact you Lex. Looking at the prices I should have just e-mailed you a full list of what I wanted right from the start.
