Does the 1uz-fe fire at two plugs at the same time?

Does two injectors open at the same time?



What I really want to know is, can I use a aftermarket ecu with only 4 injector drivers and 4 coil drivers?

Stock it runs one plug at a time (no wasted spark) and 4 banks of 2 injectors.

You can run an ecu with 4 injector drivers, and 4 ignition drivers.
This is what I run.
I am only using 2 of the ignition drivers though.

Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Would it be worth going for a system with 8 injection and spark drivers?

Would i notice the diffrence?

The difference of running sequential injection are better idling and low rev performance. In terms of smoothness,economy and emmisions.
If you don't need to pass an emmisions test then don't go out of your way to get sequential injection

The later 1UZ engines (vvti) and 2/3UZ engines need at least 4 ignition drivers since they do not have 2 dizzies. In theory a direct ignition (either wasted spark or one driver per cylinder) can get better, more consistent ignition, but in practice I defy anyone to tell the difference, provided you have a good ignition box on a dizzy setup.
