okay so I have a bastard child year of the LS400, the trac control is in the engine/trans ECU... my question is can I just leave the wires not attacthed to their sensors (clipped) or will this cause a "limp" home mode? the ABS/traction has a seperate computer too if that helps any. What is everyone who bought a crown/selsior/LS half cut/engine with traction control doing to get around this? Thanks!! *B*

Without the ABS/TRAC ECU the engine/trans ECU seems to be running just fine. The secondary throttle is spring loaded to full open and there are no wheel speed inputs to the ECU so it has no idea if wheels are spinning and it can't do anything about it if it did. The leads from the TRAC ECU are not well described in any of the books, but from what I could tell, it was things like "retard timing due to wheel spin" and things like that. So, leaving them open just never tells the engine ECU to do anything. So it just keeps the engine running at max efficiency.
