1990 crown info

Hey guys new here and thinking of buying a 1990 1uz crown that is in aus and wondering if it will be hard to get a roadworthy/compliance and get parts for in VIC Aus???
Eg. Springs, shocks, brakes and general maintenance parts????
Any and all info on this model to would be great too!!
Thinking a gt40turbo lpg setup in the crown, then putting it into the LH torana one day, just need to make sure i can use the crown as a daily driver for a year or so first thats why i need to know if getting parts is a problem!!

Ok compliance and roadworthy aren't that hard, but what about general parts (not engine of course)???

No engine parts are hard to get.
Body/suspension parts are rarer, but you can get anything from Japan that you need, may cost a little bit more though.

As for compliancing, is it not already complianced for Australia?

Side door intrusion bars, child restraint mount points. Can all be signed off by your local engineer. Probably need to gas up the A/C as well.

No the car came in under the old 15yr law and has been sitting since. So i need to get it complianced and registered, it comes with its import aproval. Really want to grab it but just don't want to get stuck with a car that i can't get parts for. Good to hear that i can get just about anything from *** if need although it might be a bit of messing around!

Remember you can scrounge parts from Crown front cuts.

Most people throw away the bodywork and suspension etc that comes with the half cut.

Try sending Witzl a PM he has a 1990 Crown.
