I've asked the seller about it, and he has come back and said yes, it is a 3UZ loom, and apologised. He reckons he can swap it for the 1UZ type, so I guess I'll do that.

1994 Rover 827 It was gutless, the majority of the electrics were faulty, it handled like a big wobbly sack of poo, the interior was falling to pieces and it frequently over-heated. To me, this car went a long way to explianing why MG-Rover is no longer.
