    I had the engine backfire through the TB after changing the timing belt... turns out that I had the coils wired up backward - IE right bank to left and left bank to right! Easy fix thankfully! Better labelled now too... :)

    the rack is an aftermarket race only job req 1300 to 1500psi. We'll buy the howe pump if we have to but at A$600 plus the time to make up mounts etc we'de rather not! Anyone know what psi the standard pump is good for?

    Ahh cheers rod. Wasnt sure about that one. Have thought about making a new pulley to get the pump to spin up harder - gonna do that as a last resort. We still wanna keep the fluid temps down as much as poss and dont have a cooler plumbed in. If we do end out winding it up we'll add a cooler...

    you need a young priest and an old priest... check all your input sensors are plugged in properly. Mind you, I wouldnt think it would rev that high with the butterfly closed?

    thought as much RE the flow, will try the pressure increase and see how we go. can anyone verify that increased spring = increased pressure and give me a mud map on how to find the assembly in the pump?

    Hey all, Im not getting enough push from my stock pump for the ram - Its a Howe truggy rack with a 2" piston so Im not surprised the stocky is struggling! I know theres supposed to be a way to increase pressure or flow - anyone know anything about it? Any help appreciated!

    Hey Rydning, just curious, why the UN1 instead of the UN5? Parts are available here in Aus that'll let you run the torque you're talking about for UN5... Mines just been delivered, came with the adaptor plate etc to bolt straight up. Albins gearsets are also available in pretty much any ratio...

And if you do have a bit of disposable income to splash out on it later I'd consider cams and a bit of head work including upping the comp before...

    There are much less expensive ways to make power! Exhaust and a good tune. From my own searches on here Ive often read that you cant really reap the benefits of ITBs without dropping in cams and maybe even doing a bit of head work. what other mods have you got done/doing?

    Im using a mazda plate resprung to 1200kg for the racecar on a recommendation. havent tried it yet, but the recommendation should be a good one.
