I have a late model soarer 1jz r154 5spd gearbox for sale. It is complete with fork, 1jz bellhousing, bearing and slave etc... was going to use for manual 1uz conversion but didnt go through with it as i'm going a different route with my car. $1800. Located in sydney.

very interested to know if there will be any problems with running the g50 in an inverted setup.... have considered a g50 for my next tube frame project after my v12 supra is done.

rb30 turbo was released in the r31 skyline and AU delivered GM Holden VL commodore. Both of which are late 80's model cars. Came with a single overhead cam... nothing too special. Works alot better with any of the later RB twin cam heads though.

don't hold your breath, this will be a long build.... engine wont even arrive for a couple of months. From there, it's a hurdle just to get it running let alone all the mods to get it in the car..... Will write a very in depth article though and plenty of pics dont you worry, hehe.

when i get to that stage, it'll all have to be custom one off (or is it 12 off hehe). First thing would probably be to get it to breathe/rev better as redline is a lazy 6.5k rpm i think. The extractors, exhaust, and possibly reground cams should take care of said issue. Down the track...

how much you looking at in terms of dollars on top? i have a cut crown loom crown ecu (manual conversion). Was going to modify loom and crimp plugs that go directly onto the ecu pins.... but this may be an easier option if i can find a celsior ecu to go with your harness.
