I need some one to measure a flywheel

Thanks for the info. Here is my problem. The Motor I have has a flexplate. Thus allowing me to run the stock starter. My tranny however uses a very small 215 clutch and flywheel setup. What I need to do is attach the stock Porsche flywheel/friction area to a lexus flywheel/flexplate. Does...

    Daytona Prototype 4.3 V8

I am going to use a 901 for the time being. If it will last through the Hill climb and drivers school, I will be upgrading to a mendolla or an X-trac if I can find one for a reasonable price.

FOr a dry sump system you should run an external three-five stage. The only way you can really get the benefit is to have multiple scavenging stages to pull oil out of the rocker boxes/valve covers and the oil pan. Then use a pressure stage to direct it where needed. You will be looking at a...

Since my application has this engine mid mounted it will be smack up against the fire wall so anything I can remove from the front of the engine the better.

    Daytona Prototype 4.3 V8

Interesting. I really hadn't done anything with my motor since I picked it up. It was indeed from a SC400. So I can make this thing go away for my race car application. Good. That is one more thing off the front of the motor. When I turn it it has the drag like you get when hand turning a...

Forgive my ignorance, Hydraulic fan? If the parts are publiclly available then maybe I can get some of them to use in my race car? Wonder where you can get them?

On my 1UZ it looks like the water pump is driven by the serpentine belt, not the timing belt? Is the water pump the center pulley on the timing belt in the above pictures? I looked at the rules also. Most of the engines are bigger though.

What did they do with the water pump? That is an external dry sump oil pump. Required to make that kind of HP. Any idea what the drive gears for the cams are from?

    Cam Gear (Cam Pulley)

Why not just have some offset keys made for the stock cam drive gears. With this method although time consuming you could vary cam timing independently. Offset keys would not be all that hard to machine.

How many CFM can we flow?

Somebody is doing something wrong or shouldn't be driving a die grinder. My SOHC honda head with a mild turbo biased port job flowed 276 and 214 @.500. Flowed at 28 inches. These heads appear to be better than those. Since I haven't had the heads in hand yet, I can only make observations...

    What type of signal does.....

That is what I meant. The pick up sends some sort of signal to the computer and I needed to know what it was. I would like to use the cam position sensors in the dizzy to run a Megasquirt unit. The dizzy does have cam position sensors in it right? All I have is the engine, no computer or...

    What type of signal does.....

What type of signal does the 1UZ dizzy output? I am going to try and run the engine with megasuirt and use the stock dizzy to trigger the timing and fuel injection. Does it out put a hall effect signal or something else?
